The Shree Chakradhara Mallik Foundation keeps Odia heritage alive across the diaspora — through shared meals, festival gatherings, and the recipes our grandmothers never wrote down.
Honoring the festivals, rituals, language, and recipes that travelled with our families across oceans, and keeping them living traditions rather than fading memories.
Bringing Odia families across North America together for gatherings that feel as warm and familiar as a home kitchen back in Odisha.
Passing on language, dance, food, and stories to children growing up far from Odisha’s red soil, so the thread of identity never breaks.
Our flagship event celebrates the sweets and savories that built every Odia kitchen. Three categories — Traditional, Fusion, and Youth — open to Odia families across North America, held at the OSA Convention.
That when an Odia family makes pitha together in a kitchen thousands of miles from Puri, Odisha is still alive in that home.
The Shree Chakradhara Mallik Foundation was established by the children of Shree Chakradhara Mallik — a former Joint Director of the Industries Department of Odisha and a proud Ravenshaw College alumnus — in loving memory of his lifelong devotion to Odia culture.
What began as a tribute to one man’s love for his homeland has grown into a foundation devoted to keeping Odia heritage vibrant: one recipe, one festival, one community gathering at a time.
